Last summer (2006) one of my co-workers, Chris, brought in some bead work she had been doing; I thought it was very beautiful. Always being "crafty" at heart, I thought I would like to try that someday. She continued to bring in her work. I had her repair some pieces of mine. I could not stand it any more, I had to learn how. I asked her if she would show me how to bead. She was only too happy to do so, but all of our plans to get together failed, as we always had to cancel. Family things always would arise. So out of desperation she brought some of her tools to work, and during a lunch-break I got a 15 minute lesson on how to twist the wires to make a loop. That was it! I was hopelessly hooked. We have gone to bead and gem shows together, and we have done some beading together. We always brought out beadwork to work to show each other. Now, I bead for the joy of beading. The "Need to Bead" is my therapy. I have used my products as gifts and I have sold some at local shows and flea markets. Everyone tells me I should sell my stuff. So, here I am. My daughter, (she is such a sweetie, even if I say so myself) wanting to encourage me to get going, has helped me start this web site. We are in the infantcy stages, but I am very excited about this project. Please stay tuned as we grow, you never know you just might find something you might like for you or for someone you care for.
